What a great hotel!! Super immaculately clean room, service, especially front desk check lady, Dee! She made the very start of my stay amazing just with her kindness, humor and great service. Way bigger hotel than I thought it was, great food options, huge casino floor, pretty loose slots. Definitely need to come back when the pool is open, it looks beautiful. Shark tank was awesome!
Highly recommended
I have stayed multiple times in here. The location is perfect since it is in the heart of Fremont. This last time I was assigned a very old room I would say, it was for handicap probably. The sink was not fancy at all, in fact you can tell it was old. The sink would leak water from underneath when on. I mean, not a big deal as the room was only 40 dollars for the night. I must say, in the past I have been upgraded upon my arrival and I got better rooms. More upgraded and bigger. The pool is probably one of the best ones if not the best one around due to its giant aquarium which makes it perfect for families with kids to enjoy. I never had problems with the staff, they're usually friendly and helpful. I hope this helps. I would recommend to stay here.
As I discovered, the Golden Nugget is a Las Vegas historical fixture! It's a nice, traditional hotel. It's not modern and glitzy but it's classic in its design. Our room in the Rush tower was newly remodeled and quite nice. It was very clean and well maintained by the housekeeping staff. The conference center was nice as well. Lots of various size conference rooms. Kudos to Robert, the IT guru who prevented a technological disaster during our presentation to the Women Marines Association. There's a good variety of restaurants inside the hotel. Actually, enough to not have to leave the property if undesired. Lastly, the pool is the coolest I've ever seen in a hotel! There's a giant shark tank in the middle of it with a water slide going through the tank! Awesome 😎
Now I did not stay in a hotel room so I cannot rate those because I came for the casino. And I absolutely loved it. The table game minimums were nice and low and I could play without wiping out my bankroll instantly. The dealers were very kind and professional. Cocktail waitresses were constantly checking on the tables and keeping our drinks filled. Most of the slot machines are very new and even though I didn't win anything on the slots I did see people winning. Unlike the other casinos I went to this week. Honestly I think if you want at least somewhat of a chance to win this is the casino. If you're into table games and you don't want to pay more than $5 minimum bets this is the casino. Also I was able to get a electric scooter for my mother who has some issues getting around. It cost me $65 for the day. I will say that the daily rates are cheaper the longer you rent it. The Mexican restaurant was good and I have no complaints there. The next time I visit Las Vegas I would like to try out their hotel rooms.
Love, love, love the Nugget!!!!! A true home away from home. All the staff are so friendly and helpful no matter where you are in the Hotel. I also noticed, a lot! of the staff have worked there for years, which I hope is a good sign they're a good company to work for. A great hotel downtown, I recommend it hands down over the places on the strip. The pool experience is terrific!!! Enjoy your stay
