Gritz Cafe

Very quaint location with indoor and outdoor seating. Menu is very simple but great choices! I tried the grits bowl and the catfish basket, both were amazing. The catfish was seasoned to perfection and grits were creamy but not runny. Great location to visit while in town.

Finger looking good is all I can say!!! From being greeted at the door as we walked in to the order and delivery of food EVERYTHING was AMAZING! Both my children are extremely picky eaters and they finished every bite. We will definitely be back before returning home.

It's always a good sign when you walk into a place on a late Monday morning and it's packed! Every table had happy diners sitting at it. While we waited in line to place our order, my husband and I looked over the menu and decided on what we wanted to try for our first visit to Gritz Cafe. Every item description sounded amazing, and the smell that filled the air only made us hungrier. Once we reached the register, we were greeted by a friendly and inviting cashier who helped us decide for sure that we wanted our pork chop order to be fried rather than grilled (though she said it's delicious either way). The sides we settled on with that were greens, mac n cheese, and corn bread. We also asked for chicken and waffles with grits. After paying, we were asked to wait to the side with the party just ahead of us until a table opened up. Like clockwork, we watched as tables were cleared as soon as satisfied looking guests left. The entire staff seem to work and communicate very efficiently with each other. It wasn't long before we were invited to take a seat and our plates were brought to us shortly after that. Our eyes lit up when we saw the food that was presented to us. Every bite was as tasty as the one before it! From start to finish, my husband and I enjoyed this meal so thoroughly and were happy to say as much when we were eagerly asked how we liked it. Sitting in here and enjoying a meal that reminded us of one prepared by our own loved ones while surrounded with the chitter chatter of others doing the same thing was such a warm and cozy experience. As we told the cashier when she too asked how we enjoyed our first visit, we'll definitely be back soon to try some more items on the menu!

First timer and the food was delicious. It was recommended by a friend back home in Michigan. The grits are made perfectly. I'm a sugar grits girl but their sausage and egg on top was the perfect savory/ sweet combo.

I must say, the food here is amazing!!! The restaurant is very small, however there is additional seating outside in patio area.
EMMA, our host and server really made us feel like family. CHARLES, another server was very attentive and patient with our large party (9 people).
The namesake dish (Grits) are delicious, I ate the grits how they were served (chedder cheese) without adding anything to them.
My Chicken Breast omelette was cooked to perfection! Fried chicken wings that are served with the Chicken and Waffles were fried to order. Chicken crispy on the outside, moist and tender in the inside....Fried fish that is served with the grits is fried to order as well.
Additionally you can have your fish or chicken grilled if preferred. Southern Style breakfast and hospitality at Best!
Highly recommend when visiting Las Vegas come here for breakfast....
