The food was good, but we were not impressed by the reception & service.

Though we live across town, we had heard good things about this new restaurant that offers AYCE sashimi & decided to make the journey over. Upon arriving (8PM on a Saturday), there was no one to greet us or say "we'll be right with you" though maybe 3 or 4 workers walked right by us, made eye contact, and even the chef & his assistant made eye contact with us but didn't say anything (not even the usual loud "IRASSHAIMASE~" that is the usual greeting in a Japanese restaurant). We thought "okay, maybe they are just a little busy" but we looked around and besides two large groups, the restaurant was not very busy at all. It took us more than 7 minutes to be seated (with no parties or other guests ahead of us), which is unusual for a dining venue here in Vegas--especially one that has just recently opened. 1st impressions should be important to a restaurant.

It seemed there were only 2 waiters working (they seemed to be the ones taking care of the large parties & other guests), but we noticed 3 other waiters who appeared to be dawdling about--putting most of the workload on the other 2, who WERE working very hard. Our main waiter was pleasant, but kept apologizing for the service (once or twice is fine, but he literally apologized on EVERY interaction)--we made sure to thank him that he was doing his best for us. A different waiter would bring food to our table without announcing what the dish was & either crudely set it down or slide it in front of us in an awkward manner, as if he were unsure of himself~

Overall, I still encourage people to give this restaurant a try if they are in the area--the sashimi cuts were very generous and our waiter did his best for us. Unfortunately as we are on the other side of town, we do not feel it is worth coming back to. Since it's a new establishment, perhaps other diners will have a different or better experience here.

My girlfriend and I went here on a whim tonight and everything was above and beyond our expectations. I love the serving sizes because you get to try many options with their ayce dinner. We had Dillon (Dylan?) as our server and he was extremely helpful and enthusiastic about making sure we had a great experience. We will be back again, especially since there's a rewards program! Everything came out quickly and we were very happy with all of our dishes that we ordered.

I'd give five stars to Hayashi but I don't give five stars to anyone I review. Excellent food and a great deal. $29 AYCE with unlimited uni and the best oysters I've ever had. The wait staff were quick and friendly. A must try.

This is a great place for small or larger groups! For Vegas it has amazing value. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious, and everything was well organized. If you love Japanese food and you want a place that treats you well this is it. Even if you are a novice to sushi, have no fear the staff is very sweet and helpful. Just a delight.
