I love this place :-) My most favorite poke place by far! Service is awesome too :-)
This place will take you back to being Hawaii every time. Fresh food and lots of choices.
Fresh food, tasty and affordable. Met the owner, Mike, great guy very friendly. I would recommend Island Fin poke 100%!
Friendly, knowledgeable service paired with excellent food. And Dole Whip!!!
I stop here whenever I go to Boca Park. They offer a variety of based, meats, toppings, and sauces to suit whatever I'm craving. The staff is always cheerful and willing to offer suggestions as well as samples of unfamiliar items. They're consistently fabulous!
This is my review from 01/29/20 on Yelp.
I’m so happy to have a poké spot in the Summerlin area!!! I opened up Yelp and found this “Hot and New” spot. They opened up about a week ago. My boyfriend and I are huge Sweet Poké fans so we came in with high hopes.
Walking in was so welcoming. The appearance was beautiful. The menu on the wall could have been made a little bigger. Just the print was kinda small for us blind people. But they’re kind and explained how the ordering process goes. The poké bowl comes with three proteins.
I got 2 salmon and shrimp proteins. The flavors were all there in regards to the spices. I love topping my bowl with fried onion and garlic. I’m a little weird with seaweed tasting too much like the sea but this seaweed was delicious. It’s been flavored very well. For the salmon, I don’t believe it was fresh. I went to culinary school and worked in a kitchen that served poké. You can tell in the color of the salmon that it's been previously frozen and thawed or the salmon just might been a couple days older. You can go on google and look up fresh vs not fresh salmon and see the difference. When eating my poké bowl the salmon was alright. But I did take my leftovers home and 3 hours later I tried to eat the rest and the salmon tasted really bad, as well as having that fishy taste. I threw it out. That’s really quick for just a few hours. I’ve taken poké from work home and a couple days later it’s fine, as well as poké from Sweet Poké and it didn’t taste like that hours or days later.
As far as my boyfriend’s bowl. He said his tuna tasted pretty fresh. I could tell for the tuna it was a lot better in quality than the salmon.
We also bought some dole whip ice cream. It was delicious. They brought some little samples while eating so we didn’t really need to get the ice cream. Everything was pretty good.
Overall for the whole experience it was $30 for the both of us. This included a fountain drink and ice cream. I’ll have to try the place out again soon and update my review. Hopefully the salmon will be different. I’d love to make this my go to spot for poké in the area.
