My family and I enjoyed everything from the Korean Fried Chicken, Meat Jun, Fried Rice to the Guava Cake, Long John, Chantilly Coco Puffs! Everyone has so much Aloha and excellent customer service! Just all around ono, comfort food! We absolutely love the local grinds...actually went in twice this week with my husband! Mahalo Kapuna Cafe!
As an entree I had the chicken fajita style chimichanga. They meat was flavorful and moist. The cheese was perfectly temperature'd so that all the flavors could be tasted and enjoyed. The beans were as incredible as detailed above. The rice was good, definitely held its own, but wasn't as strong as the other dishes.
It's good to see Mom and Pop shops again. They're rare. They have the best food. I will be returning. Customer service was excellent.
The food was amazing and the people were even better! We had the Meat Jun, Aloha Breakfast, and Mochi Pancakes and our son said they were the best pancakes he ever had. We will be back again soon because everything was so good.
This place is WONDERFUL! I had Curry Fries with Shrimp--delicious large tender shrimp, crispy fries with cheese sauce and curry sauce on the side. Hubby had Meat Jun, an incredibly tasty plate of thin-sliced beef fried in a light egg batter (not greasy--perfect) served over rice alongside Macaroni Salad and Kimchee. The dipping sauce (soy sauce, vinegar, sliced scallions and sesame seeds) was scrumptious. The place is small, scrupulously clean and neat (even the rest room) and the owner and staff friendly, authentically warm and generous. Even when they got busy, the owner was offering refills on dipping sauce, etc. Can't believe they've been here 2 years already and we just discovered them.
