The buffet food was good but they ran out of ham at 1:00 p.m. today 12/14 @said they wouldn't be making anymore today. To Management this is poor planning.
3-1/2 stars: The buffet has recently been tastefully remodeled but lacks some function you might expect from a buffet: Most entrees and warm sides are placed in bowls and platters along the countertops as compared to warming bins. Without continuous warming, most items are too cool to enjoy. Having eaten lunch there several times since the remodel, my biggest takeaway is inconsistency. On my first visit, the waiter was polite and attentive. On my third visit, the waitress was inattentive and slow to bring drinks and check if we need anything else (we did). On one occasion, cold smoked salmon (no bagels available, however) along with a nice stew and other entrees were available. On another visit, the selection was more than a bit sparse.
The sweets station appears more like something found at a higher-priced fare, but flavor falls short of presentation. However, I did like the fire-engine red KitchenAid mixer placed in the area as a prop (too light duty and too small for actual bakery use).
It got lot of food
I’m not saying it’s a 5-star buffet. I’m just rating it 5 stars for the good food, service, quality and value. It was quite good. We had the lunch buffet and thoroughly enjoyed it.
