Okay, nothing about this place makes sense especially how good the sushi is for the price!Other than it’s sign saying Alaska there is nothing spiritually or physically connecting this place to Alaska. There is a picture of penguins jumping from one iceberg to another but that’s the wrong hemisphere. There are also three different visual references to Playboy: two neon bunnies and one poster of the Bunny himself. Lots of TVs. Very clean.

The all you can eat selection is reasonably priced - $28.95 - and the staff are quick to ask if you want more. I particularly enjoyed the rainbow roll and spider roll. My friends enjoyed the Johnny, golden California, and dragon rolls. For good, cheap sushi and a lot of it, this place is hard to beat.

When we first got here, there were only a few customers, and one full party table. There was only one server, but the food was coming pretty fast, at first. The salmon skin salad is not crispy, but it is very good. The entire place is lined with TVs on the walls and Playboy logo decorations. Modern R&B music is playing, but 20 songs on a loop can get annoying after a while. The menu includes skewers, and they are good. The garlic edamame was a little bit undercooked. Their calamari tempura plate included both large tempura legs and small fried squid. People were regularly coming in, but there was still just one server and one sushi chef. Service started to significantly slow down. The miso soup was very good, but had no tofu. Surprisingly, there was no tuna on the rainbow roll, either. Although half rolls are available, we were told because it's crowded, they can't make half rolls today. I'm not sure how that makes any sense, but that's what she said. The lobster ball filling is mostly "krab," with a little bit of langostino in there; but it was still pretty good, especially with the coconut sauce. A sign outside stated free beer with an AYCE meal, so I we took them up on that, a Sapporo. Our server is wearing a chin diaper. Her mouth and nose are 100% exposed. Why even bother? Either properly wear your mask, or just take it off, please don't pretend. This place got about 3/4 full while we were there, and with only one server, she was running around like crazy. It's not fair to the server. It's not fair to the customers. With food that is this good, and them getting this much business, they really should have at least one more server and one more sushi chef. The staff was becoming quite overworked. The server kept asking us to wait before we ordered more. But, we were also told to hurry up. This was getting very aggravating. Although the food was excellent, the service leaves much to be desired. The server said this is not usual, that somebody called in sick. We had been told both to hurry up and to wait several times, making this visit very stressful and uncomfortable. I will be back for the food, but I won't sit down unless I see more than one server in there. If not for the service, otherwise five stars.

Easy to miss, hard to forget! If you're not looking, you'll drive by one of the best AYCE we've been to in as Vegas, and we hit up quite a few over the past 30 years. You won't find a display case here, and the chest high booths are cozy. The dark interior is calming and cool.

For soft-shelled crab and salmon collar fans, you're in for a treat! You'll not find any better- crispy, tender crab and succulent MEATY salmon. You MUST try the Alaska Roll. Their nigiri has the perfect rice portion and while the ramen selection is small, they're long on flavor. I had the Japanese ramen (tonkatsu broth) and it was wonderful.

Look for the Von's at the Southwest corner of Tropicana and Maryland, nestled in the corner next to Dotty's, and find yourself some really good sushi!

Absolutely fantastic! The all you can eat was amazing and a great value! We were a large group although they were empty at the time. Most of us chose all you can eat and they let us order plenty to stay and kept up on everything we ordered. Satan's angel was the favorite followed closely by surf and turf. We got a wide variety and everything was very very good! They even let us take over a TV to watch the stream of events we were at Thomas and Mack for. Easy walk from Thomas and Mack.

This is a hidden gem in Las Vegas!! Best AYCE in Vegas. This place is seriously delicious!! The nigiri is super fresh!! The salmon is so good here!! They have rolls with excellent flavor profiles! Some surprises were the Vegas Dream with banana. So amazing! It's the perfect way to end the meal. It's somewhat dessert-like which I loved! The Mexican Tempura roll was also a shocker! So delicious! I'm not usually one to get deep fried rolls so that was a pleasant surprise too! I also enjoyed a sushi flower with a cucumber wrap instead of rice and an Alaska Roll. I loved the Jalapeno Bomb. My friend said, and I agree, this is the best appetizer anywhere. That's a must try. Next time you want amazing sushi give this place a try! The staff is very friendly! Our waitress always remembers our drink orders. We look forward to going back!
