The Chicken Shanty

Great quick chicken sandwich spot! The food came out very fast and their sandwiches were pretty good. Fries were fabulous!

They make all of their own sauces and all of the sauces we got were very good - well made.

Free refills on the drinks and students get a free drink with their student id.

They have an outdoor area and they have a handicap ramp in the parking lot.

All the bad reviews must be from all the folks moving here from California who expect everything to be about them. (Go home). This is an Oregon based chicken joint and there food is far from bland and the owner is a great guy and very nice. Portions I've had were generous and tasty. I would give a 5 star but I think the price is a few dollars high. Other than that this place is worth going to if you love real fried chicken 🐔🍗.
The sauces are all awesome as well.

The wife and I ate there to try something new. We were both impressed by the portion sizes and the taste. I had the 3 piece meal and I was given 3 large pieces (too large to eat in one sitting) and they were delicious. The best part are the dipping sauces. I had Voo Doo and Southern Home.

My wife had the chicken Tai wrap and she thought it was awesome. She also got a large portion and the food was very flavorful. Even the french fires were good with a slight bit of batter on them.

Service was nice, 3 young gals who were very pleasant. They were attentive, quick and very helpful.

Glad we took the chance on a new place - we'll definitely be back!
