Edgewood Restaurant

A magnificent dining experience with spectacular views of Lake Tahoe and its surrounding mountains. Ostentatiously rich and luxurious; there are 5 star restaurants, and then there is Edgewood Restaurant. Salute!

Go before sunset to take in the view. Main course took a very long time to come out, just our table, I noticed several tables being severed that sat after us. High ceiling and exposed wood really give the room a warm welcoming feel. Food was good.

Very good food and service is great. Be careful though, the wait staff are smooth talkers and will talk you into getting dessert.. but you won't be disappointed! We had a wonderful dinner there. Thank you!

This past weekend, we kinda eloped to Tahoe. My girlfriend thought it was just a weekend getaway and had no idea I was going to propose after our dinner and then get married the next day.

We had a delicious dinner, however, I did not know how I was going to go about proposing. I let Ellen, the amazing hostess, know of my plan and she was more than happy to help me out. She coordinated things with my waiter. After our dinner, he brought out my gift, which was a storybook our relationship and in the book is how I proposed.

Ellen braved the elements and recorded the entire proposal outdoors next to their fire pit. She was nice enough to emailed it to us as well. I'm sure they have plenty of proposals there, but they made mine feel as if it was their first one and made it so special.

I cannot thank you enough and I'll never forget that night, but more importantly, I'll never forget the staff. Absolutely amazing people there.

Spectacular views, beautiful architecture inside and out, cozy and comfortable high end restaurant. The food is great as well - especially the Sea Bass! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, fancy meal. Reservation in advance recommended - especially during peak seasons in Tahoe.
