A mom and pop place with good food at really good prices. Service was quick. It is a bit small and the tables and chairs were packed close together. I suggest getting there early for breakfast because even half full might make some feel uncomfortable.
I believe I saw this place was rated with $$. I have to disagree with that. An omelette with hash browns, toast and coffee was just a little over $10. The locals come here so that should tell you something.
Had a great home cooked style breakfast here. Omelet was perfect, waitress was friendly and attentive. Service was fast. Will definitely be back.
This is a great little restaurant to have some breakfast or lunch! It has a comfortable small town type feel. The waitresses and waiters are very friendly and provide great service. Food is amazing and fast to the table. There is a wide variety of menu options for a good price.
I love this place. When I go to Tahoe, the red hut is always on the itinerary at some point. They have all the breakfast canidates: omelette/scrambles (cheesy), pancakes (fluffy!), biscuits n gravy (pretty freaking great), chicken and waffles (kinda skimpy chicken but awesome with the waffles), and breakfast usuals. My favorite thing is that they serve their lunch menu during 'breakfast hours'. I can't eat eggs, so I like a place like this. I always get the club sandwich. Get it how you like it, I go no mayo, two bread slices. Their turkey is the good stuff, sliced actual turkey breast, not the weird formed deli stuff. Everything is great, service is,... can be... Off? Sometimes it's great, sometimes, not so much. But the food is great. Get there early during weekends. There's usually a line. No reservations. Some bench seating, small tables, and four tops. Highly recommended.
Small town diner vibe. The food is REALLY good. We came for breakfast and probably won't need to eat again until dinner. Service is super friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. I highly recommend.
