Bakarra | Basque Bistro

Best food ever! Lamb shank, filet mignon and halibut, salad with beans (yes beans) were AMAZING. We are traveling from Phoenix to Idaho and chose Bakarra in Winnemucca. The staff was also very pleasant and attentive. We operate a restaurant in Minnesota and are very picky about food and giving reviews but this restaurant was well run. Kudus to the chef and the entire staff!

Super delicious food! Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We will definitely return. Definitely On the Pricey side for the amount of food that they give you, but that won't stop me from coming back on a special occasion.

Highly recommend. This eatery is under new ownership and the team running the place puts out an excellent product. The menu is robust and show cases some basque favorites, great cuts of beef, and is flanked by a reasonably priced kids menu and a few options for those with a more traditional palate. Enjoy a cocktail before your meal at the bar with the colorful local legends that are regulars and save room for one of the many tasty desserts.

We enjoyed trying the salad with beans on top! Something different. Baked potato was good. Salad was average and found a sticker on one of the tomatoes. The staff is working hard so probably just in a rush.

The food was Great!!! The female bartender was wonderful!!! I'm a truck driver, I recommend any trucker driving down that way. It's probably 5 different places you can park your truck. Best food Ever!!!!
