Out of the way but worth the drive. The best place in Smith Valley for some great cocktails and cold beers. Great food options too. Very clean establishment with great staff.

We got there before 5 which is when they open the kitchen to order. We had drinks at the bar and server was helpful and quick. Still haven't eaten there but maybe next time.

The Heyday is a great place to have lunch or dinner or just sit at the bar. The bartenders and the waitresses are very friendly and good at their job.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch today as we traveled through Smith Valley. What a delight! The service was friendly and quick. I had the shrimp and cod with fries. The shrimp were freshly battered and fried, as was the fish. Both were delicious! If I am ever back, again, I will get the shrimp basket so I can have more of shrimp - they were excellent! I am not a connoisseur of crispy, thin fries, so I would opt for the home made onion rings if I make it back this way. My husband had the Ortega turkey sandwich with onion rings. He said it was really fresh and good. He loved the onion rings.
This is a definite 5-star recommendation!
