    Best Angus Hamburger & Fries, cheap with a spectacular lakeside view. Fully stocked roadside market with affordable ice, beer, sodas and snacks, we were thrilled to discover the delicious homemade menu. A wonderful alternative to long waits at McDonald’s in Hawthorn, our family ate well for under $20. Owners are hands-on. The “service with a smile & friendly chat” reminds of why small towns USA are so very charming. Best Burger & BBQ in Walker, Hawthorn. Intimate, no fuss, outdoor cafe style seating and prompt carry out. Worth the stop.

    In need of something to eat? A cold drink? A snack? Cigarettes? Passing thru this area, not sure this is only place to stop, but I believe it to be best. Great place to stop. Decent prices and friendly service. Even got some tables outside if you need to sit a spell.
