Really nice tonight. Sat on the deck.
When walking in, we were greeted by a very kind hostess who sat us immediately, despite lack of reservations. She was friendly, and welcomed us to Tahoe.
We were seated at a corner table at the upper level of the restaurant, and had a gorgeous view of the scenery outside.
Blue water glasses complimented the view of the lake nicely. Certainly a clever thought!
The menu was not unlike any other upscale restaurant in size, but impressed us with creative dishes and unique flavors such as Ahi Tuna Poke served with an avocado wasabi paste, boar tenderloin, and a speciality scallop pasta, served with sautéed veggies and a cream sauce.
My filet was cooked to perfection. I asked for it as rare as possible, and that’s exactly how it came. I tested its tenderness by attempting to slice it with my teaspoon. Success. My greatest compliments to the chef.
Although this restaurant is pricy, it’s certainly worth the money. All the while we were there, our waiter (can’t remember his name. A taller young man with blonde hair pulled into a bun) as well as some other staff checked on us and offered us more bread, drinks, etc.
I appreciated the lack of plastic straws, and the paper to-go boxes for leftovers. It is clear that they try their best to be environmentally friendly here.
Great food and excellent service. We brought a large group here for a company dinner and everything was great!
The food was fresh and worth the expense. The wait staff were very friendly and welcoming and made it an even better experience.
