Excellent food, decent service. The food has been the same, high quality food for at least 20 years. I've been coming here for at least that long. I don't eat her enough, but man oh man! Always wonderful! You will not be disappointed!
Picked this restaurant based on reviews and photos. Our group of 8 had a fantastic time, and delicious meal! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We wanted to go back the next day, but sadly it was a Sunday. Delicious food - and so much of it!!
What a fun, family-run place! A small venue, with a restaurant cozied up to a bar. It was obvious that there are a lot of regulars but the staff made us feel like we were part of the family too. Lasagna was great as was the spaghetti and meatballs. Price is reasonable. I believe there are three generations running the place. If you're looking to find a little Reno history, stop in, this has been a favorite with the locals for a long, long time.
Best lasagna ever. My family is Italian and I have to say since I’ve been to Reno I have not found one good restaurant till now! I ate the lasagna last night now I’m going for the spaghetti:) also the homemade bread was delicious
Nana Casale's sauce is exquisite. I am an Italian American with roots in Calabria and NY. Her sauce brought a tear to my eye. Just like my Nana's and Papa's. A perfect blend of tomatoes with the slight salt hint of anchovies. The fresh pasta dough. Be sure and order the garlic bread to sop up the healthy portion of extra sauce piled onto your dish. The wait staff is family, quirky, and fun. Mama Mia! Go visit this family tradition destination... Don't wait. No trip to Reno is complete without at least one mouthful of Nana Casale's tomato gravy.
