El Paisano

The food was very tasty, but the service was slow. It was not obvious what was in each dish nor was it obvious what sides if any came with meals/combos.

This is my favorite place in Reno hands down! If you are looking for authentic Mexican food don't miss this restaurant!
The wide variety of salsas and other spicy Mexican style veggies covers enough flavors to satisfy all consumers. The chips are absolutely amazing. Crispy, thin with just the right amount of salt to make them some of the best I have every had. The restaurant is set up like a taqueria so the food is delivered very quickly. I have quite a few different entrees and have been satisfied with everything! I consider myself well qualified to critique Mexican food and I have no qualms. Another positive to El Paisano is the Papusas. This is an El Salvadoran food. It is like a quesadilla's older more robust brother. It's basically a homemade corn tortilla but with meat and or cheese cooked into it. It is amazing!

Love the food. I just ate their chicken taco salad, it was fantastic and so much food I couldn't finish it.

Yes. Another positive review. Why should I post another positive review about this place? Well, because, I want to tell the world how good the food here is. I'm a regular- there has been an increase in prices over the 5 years I've been coming, and the prices are still worth every cent. The salsa bar is uniquely vast, the customer service is beyond courteous, the food is delicious, and if I ever make it to El
Salvador I will be judging those pupusa's against the ones made here!

The place was clean. The staff was friendly and greeted you. The food was tasty and authentic. The only minor issue was the time it took to get our food. Nothing too long but longer than other restaurants. But even with that minor issue I would still highly recommend this place. The fish tacos were great.
