This was not our first visit to Ruth's Chris. I made the reservation online and indicated it was for our anniversary. I received a call the day of from Zack to confirm -he also asked how many years. We arrived a bit early, were seated right away by Zack and were pleasantly surprised at the sweet touches- a personal message on our menus, heart & rose confetti on the table, special addition to dessert, etc. From Samuel, who kept everything full to Kym, our server and everyone else we encountered, exceptional service and the food was amazing. Flawless experience. Thanks for making our day special! We have not had a bad experience here!
Superb service by Joleen. Food was excellent and definitely live up to our expectations. Can't wait to come back to Reno so we can dine again!
Ruth's Chris is always a reliable option. I have received a consistently good meal at whichever location I have dined. I have been to this location 4 times - although this is the first time I have been in the dining room. Ruth's Chris wants to be a fine dining steak house...I do not think it really is in any location I have been to frankly. They do try to provide exceptional table service and the people work very hard...they just do not have the kitchen and bar execution they need for that hard work to result in a fine dining experience at the table. A glass of wine ordered with the entrees was still not there as we were halfway through our entrees - we cancelled it. The food was good - but honestly if you have to drown everything you serve in butter there may be something lacking. Ruth's Chris uses a LOT of butter...why? Overall it's worth a visit but when in the dining room, the lack of execution is more apparent. The bar dining experience is superior as a result.
