All my favorite foods in one bowl and taco, which they make with seaweed as a shell.
I tried their Cajun Tuna bowl and the Spicy Tuna taco at The Eddy. Food was fresh, sizes were great and the flavors, o the flavors! Great fusion

Calling all sushi lovers, poke bowl lovers, raw salmon and tuna lovers, appetizer lovers, food truck lovers, and sushi taco lovers...

Wait, Sushi Tacos? Yes, I asked myself that question too, when my favorite server and sushi chef at my favorite sushi restaurant, Hinoki Sushi, told me that they were working to open up their very own food truck with sushi tacos as one of their main focuses. Sushi tacos are definitely a must, especially if you're a foodie and a sushi lover. It's the most exciting concoction I've seen in a while and it's definitely Delicious with a capital D.

In the case of Urban Crudos, Sushi tacos are like sushi rolls in taco form. There are elements from Mexican culture- salsas, heat, and citrus- but no meat or flour and corn tortillas in sight (I do see tortillas on their pamphlet as an option, but need to double-check with them). Their fillings are divided into two categories: raw and cooked and all come nicely packed in a deep-fried, lightly battered, crunchy, umami nori sheet with rice. Comparable to hand rolls, but with a crunchy exterior and much more filling, the sushi taco can be customized to anyone's liking using a combination of their awesome sauces.

I thoroughly enjoyed my foodie adventure exploring this new exciting food and can't wait to come back for seconds. Update: I went the following day and found gold in the form of poke bowls, one of the best in town. Everything was incredibly fresh and the combination of ingredients were well put together, with lots of room for customization on my part with their many sauce creations, though I didn't use any sauce at all except lime juice and enjoyed it one-hundred percent.

If you're looking for something new, exciting, and delicious, and served with a smile (yes, you can even see their smiles even with their masks on), please check out this food truck. It will leave you wanting more.

    Notes:
-They are currently parked in the lot of Buggy Bath Car Wash and plan to be at this location for about a month
-you can call and order ahead of time.
-Combo Special: 2 Tacos and one appetizer for $26
-There is plenty of parking in the lot of Peppermill Casino. Turn into the lot closest to Buggy Bath Car Wash (next to blue-tinted mirrored building)
-Right now, they only have raw options for tacos and bowls. Next week, they plan on serving their cooked sushi tacos. Keep up-to-date with them on Facebook on Instagram or give them a call
-their appetizers were all delicious and beyond fresh. The jalapeno popper is nicely fried with a thin layer of batter and is a must. I loved the California rolls that were sprinkled with japanese furikake seasonings. Calamari was fried to perfection and not oily. I loved dipping them in house sauce mixed with teriyaki. The cucumber, edamame, and gyoza were all delicious.
-one taco is huge and is slightly bigger than the size of two hand rolls. They are packed with so much filling. Since the fish was pure and not seasoned, I added soy sauce and wasabi to all of my tacos for that salty factor, in addition to given sauces. The outer shell was nice and crisp and fried to perfection. Eating tacos within the hour is ideal to experience them when they are the most crisp
-the trick to a finding the perfect taco for you is to experiment with their sauces. I advise for new customers to order all their sauces and combine them in different ways to find the right balance, like when customizing poke bowls and sushi burritos.
-their house sauce was spicy but tolerable. Their chimichurri sauce had pepper seeds and was mega spicy. Their tomatillo sauce was not spicy at all. Their teriyaki was perfect and matched with everything
-they might be at food truck friday
-they cater parties and events. This is exciting and would be ideal for any occasion, especially big ones like weddings
-no seating, Virginia Lake walking distance
