The food was amazing here and the portions were huge. The menu looks expensive at first but when you receive your food you realize your definitely getting your money's worth. Good home cooked meals. Great service to. I didn't get any desserts but they looked amazing. We just moved here and this is already my favorite restaurant.
My fiance and I have been to a few different locations of Black Bear Diner and normally we've always found the service to be prompt and the food very well prepared. We frequently recommend it and have made a tradition of stopping in before a trip. Recently however we went for lunch at the Virginia st. (Reno) location found the place half empty were seated in the back and simply forgot about. Staff did some tidying up and milling around but never so much as brought us water. After quite some time we left and drove to the Sparks location were service was terrific!
Great service. Amazing food. Big plates for such a great price. Military apreciation big bonus. For sure a new favorite! 5+ stars.
I love restaurants that are built around a theme. There are bears all over this place. The service is pretty nice. They acknowledge you and come back to check on you. All my food was excellent except my eggs. They actually had fresh squeezed orange juice! All the staff is nice an speak exen thought you can see they are very busy. Great place to eat. Definitely must return.
A lifesaver. Wanted somewhere quick, inexpensive, and serving breakfast for 7 including 2 younger children. Spotted a Denny's and went in to get seated. We were told it would be a 30 - 45 minute wait. We didn't want to wait the long, so looked around for an alternative and found Black Bear Diner. What a fortunate find. We were seated immediately. The service was superb, the food was delicious and portions were very generous. Everything was delicious but the Bear Claw French Toast and the Eggs Benedict deserve special mention. Highly recommended.
