Carlillos Cocina

This place is somewhat of a hidden gem in the Reno area. The food is exceptional, as is the service. I don't think there is a subpar item in the menu.

The only tricky part is that there are very limited seating options. Couple that with immense popularity and you get potentially long wait times. Plan accordingly.

The restaurant is on Rock Blvd in Sparks. The kitchen grills and stoves are surrounded by a bar table where people sit and enjoy their meal. I loved the concept! Probably not the right place for big groups. The outside of the restaurant looks like a burger place, but the windows say "Mexican Food" in vibrant colors.

We are staying at the casinos and had to get away from the buffets. After reading the positive reviews and seeing the pictures posted, we had to visit. Small place with great food and large portions! Staff is friendly and fast. If you are visiting please stop by, open for breakfast and lunch only. Carlillos Cocina will be our must place for a great meal next time we are in town!!

Went for the first time last week. Amazing how all the workers are hustling like crazy to get all the food out and yet they never run into each other. It was entertaining to watch. A very small place, with limited seating around the counter. Everyone was very friendly, food was very good and I don't believe I've ever been to a more authentic Mexican restaurant. I would definitely go back.

I wish I could give this place more than five stars.

IT. IS. SO. GOOD.

There are about 12 seats inside, so when it's busy, there's a wait. But it was so worth it. Sitting basically in the kitchen was a great experience, and the service was phenomenal. The food was delicious, as well. We will definitely be back!
