“After hiking to the Belknap firetower we stopped in to the Gilford Village Store for lunch. We were really impressed with the quality of the food and portion size. The veggies on the cali sandwich were perfectly fresh. Everything in the dessert case looked amazing! The jelly donut cheesecake was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. We will have to find other hikes to do in the area just to have an excuse to stop in again!”

“Wife and I had a date night. We decided to stop in and spend it here. Happy we did, the atmosphere is awesome, had some good live music, and our server Rich was great!!! Food was ok………..not bad, but not for what we paid. Axe throwing was real fun. We definitely will go back for another night. I would definitely recommend giving them a try”

“Born and raised in Newport New Hampshire but we are visiting from Nashville Tennessee. We haven’t been here since 16 years ago. This place has a wonderful vibe! I love the modern/farmhouse look. The food was excellent! I ate the sausage breakfast sandwich and it was really good. Service is wonderful, and always with a smile. It’s not your typical mom and pop breakfast club, but for sure will not be disappointed.”

“We got take out on March 20, and came for drinks on March 27. Sadly I didn’t get photos of our take out meals, but they were excellent! I got the Tequila Bowl with grilled chicken. It was enough for two meals, and so fresh and delicious! My husband got the Burrito Supremo with beef. It was enormous! He loved it. The beef was thinly sliced, not ground. We will definitely be back to dine in. **great margarita specials on Mondays $5!!”

“The Breeze came out beautifully! What a wonderful additional to the Lakes Region. I mean look at the view of the lake. They have an extensive wine list, warm atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. The food is delicious. To top to all off they have a variety of homemade desserts made in house! “My family has been going to Sawyer's for the past 16 years. It is rare in the restaurant business to see such consistency over that long. It is not fine dining and they do not serve alcohol, but if you are looking for a good meal quickly with great service in a clean place, there is nothing that compares to Sawyer's. We often opt for Sawyer's on some evenings when we're considering other "finer dining" places: places where we have found quality to be less consistent and often not worth the value. We've seen many other restaurants in the area come and go, and others go from great to subpar service. The owners at Sawyer's are hands on, often on site. The staff is friendly, attentive, constantly walking booth to booth to ensure that customers are happy and to keep the place clean. There is an ice-cream takeout window as well, a favorite of my children as well as pretty much anyone who is visiting us during the summer. Having worked in the restaurant business for over 10 years in the 1980's and 90's, and having managed a couple myself, I have a good sense of the challenges these owners face in maintaining their business year after year. No I do not know the owners although anyone who goes to Sawyer's will likely not them, as I have numerous times, and no I am not affiliated. I am simply someone who truly appreciates a great restaurant experience, which is becoming harder to find at many places.”

“Kitchen cravings is a really nice well-kept restaurant. I had breakfast there with my wife a few times. The food was very good, It was really good service and the staff was friendly. My only complaint which is minor is that the prices are just a little high for me. I always feel as though anyting over 10 to $12 is too much for breakfast. I know this is a tourist area and it is what it is. If you are in the area and don't mind spending a little bit extra... it's a good place to go. I recommended kitchen cravings.”

“I've had amazing food from here in the past, but it lacks consistency some days. It's very frustrating when I order food, wait over an hour and a half for delivery, tip 20+%, and quickly realize some of the food was forgotten. And the food that wasn't forgotten was burnt and dry... I've never had this bad of an experience before with Gilford house which is the reason I didn't give a 1 star. They've had good days and bad days. I won't be ordering from here again anytime soon. Complete waste of money this time around..”
