MountainView Station

Just left. Had their home made onion rings. My wife and I are fussy about onion rings. They were home made golden fried perfect. Had the steak tips. Cooked MR. Spot on, fries and green beens. Neither soggy or old. Kim our server was polite, friendly, efficient and made our visit an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic and fresh seafood, along with a varied menu that should please anyone. Been here twice in a month, and both times the dinners were fantastic. Great Haddock sandwich the first time. Had the "small" portion of Nova Scotia Scallops the second time, which were quite plentiful and reasonably priced as a dinner. You won't go wrong here!

Wonderful food, sweet waitress who went the extra mile (thanks Cathy!), great decorations, and all nestled in an old train depot. Smaller portions available on some dishes. I wish every dining experience could be like this. Relaxed and mellow atmosphere. The restaurant gets fresh seafood in everyday. I mean what more could you want?

A quaint little gem just off route 16 Center Ossippee. We love the railroad decor. I keep returning for their tasty shrimp spinach salad ????. My husband enjoyed fried clam dinner. We'll definitely be going back.

Let's keep this simple: I love MountainView Station, the food, the decor, the beer, the service. But, mostly the food. Great fish. Always. Nothing shabby about the meatloaf, either. But I go there for my favorites, haddock, fried or baked, scallops, crab cakes, haddock _ and still more haddock, maybe my favorite fried haddock sandwich. No. Not the heart healthy thing, the one with the crispy fries and slaw. If you are really hungry, go early. Don't go in a large group: Much easier to find seats for two! It gets busy, pretty much all the time in the summer. Early is best. Or late. After the rush. Not the easiest place to find the first time out, but after that, you will return. Often. And you won't forget the way. Finally, don't forget the haddock. Wonderful. Every time.
