Definitely a great burger spot here in Keene. I ordered the burger special which was quite tasty. It had salsa, fried avocado, a South West hot sauce and it was cooked to perfection. The fries are equally delicious. The place was absolutely packed and there was a steady stream of people coming in (Saturday night).
I felt really bad for the staff since they seemed like they were short staffed. One girl was taking orders at the front and bussing tables the same time. Two cooks in the back pumping out orders. One guy doing prep. Much respect for them ???? and being able to knock out as many orders as they did.
I usually go to the Local Burger in Northampton MA, I must say the larger dining area at the Keene location was satisfying. The classic black and white checkers feels almost nostalgic.
We ordered a child hotdog and the pulled pork sandwich. The 100% kosher dog was above my expectations, the fries were crispy. My pork sandwich had a nice tangy kick to it, just the way I like it (cant stand it when they're sweet) served with coleslaw, lettuce, tomato and pickle on top. Very filling, I will definitely order this again.
The girl at the counter was very kind when taking our order. We paid, she notified us she would bring the food to us once it was finished. In the meantime she assisted other guests, bussed tables and cleaned throughout the restaurant! I didn't see her slack off, play on her phone once. Excellent customer service and food.
Legit burgers. Juicy Lucy is awesome!!!
I would've posted a delicious pic but enough apps have access to my files, sorry google
Great little burger place with a 50s vibe right off the main stretch in Keene. I haven't been in Keene in nearly a decade, but I honestly say that the burgers and fries that I ate here made it a great experience for the first time in a long time. My only regret is that I couldn't try the milkshakes, since my darling wife and mother in law were reminding me that there was pie to be had at home. I feel like a milkshake or two would have really ended the night well, but such is life.
Great selection of not so ordinary fast foods. I was super excited to see captain crunch chicken! They even have a cpt crunch battered hot dog. Looking forward to trying that next time. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly.
