The food was good, although I'm always surprised when breakfast diners can't get breakfast right so perhaps my bar is low. The location was excellent, convenient if you are passing through the area or if you are staying at a local hotel. The ambiance was AWESOME. You feel like you are transported back to the 50s, because the decor is spot on yet nothing is torn up or thread bare. Well worth stopping at if you are reasonably close! Also, they open at 5:30AM, so hitting it for breakfast is never a problem!
Attentive to diet restrictions, and so careful for those with Celiac Disease. They can make almost anything on their menu gluten free. This place is heaven sent!
Just happened across this quaint diner while I was out and about. I am so glad I stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm feeling I got when I walked in and was greeted right away. The selections on the menu were great and prices are very reasonable. I had the fried haddock basket and you get the choice of french fries or onion rings. The haddock was so flaky and tasty. The batter was light and not saturated with fat/oil like many fried fish dishes I have had. The coleslaw was light and tasty.
If you are ever in the area, stop in. You won't be disappointed.
Retro look was fantastic and the staff was friendly and great. The food was awesome. Going back is no question and I can't wait!
