The atmosphere is nice and the staff is usually good. Our waiter was a bit annoying with his sarcasm but mostly ok. Food seems like it's kind of gone down hill over the years
The location is easy to get in and out of, and it isn't too far from the highway. Despite the fact that there was training going on, and a tour bus there, service wasn't unreasonably slow, and the orders were mostly right. The fries and my burger were a little overdone, but other than that alright. The waitress gave us the minimum necessary service, which translated to a 15% tip. Unless service is actually BAD I don't go lower than that. In all, it's a basic Applebees.
American mediocrity means you can find the exact same experience all across the country. I eat here sometimes, and bless their hearts, it's almost like being in a decent restaurant.
You can count on music everyone hates, booths with other people's old food under the tables, and a meal that consistently disappoints, all while being over-smiled at in that ubiquitous server way people who really need their jobs inevitably adopt: friendly!...please tip! Have a nice day!
You'll end up here again because you forgot the last time you were here you thought you went to Chili's.
I ate here with my father and daughter for dinner as a stop on a long trip. Our hostess was very nice, and made my daughter very happy by not getting her a kids menu from the get go. We also had a great, friendly server that evening. She was kind, and even joked around with us a little. So, it was great to be around friendly, happy people after being on the road for a while. :-)
