Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train

Had a great time in the Dinner Train. Felt like I was in the 1940s - 1950s. The food and ambiance was fantastic so was the scenery. Definitely worth the experience.

Experience for the first time. Definitely some one should experience this at least once in their life time.
Spent the train ride with family. The 5 course meal was pleasant. W had a choice of appetizers, I chose the Shrimp with Seaweed, which was pleasantly surprisingly good. The sriracha oil did the nice spice which added enough strong but it was good. The salad was enough to satisfy the palette. The sorbet was pleasant and refreshing. The mint that was attached, I added it to my water. Refreshing. The chicken was very well prepared. I opted out of having the sauce on it (Lactose intolerance). The Swan cream puff was nice, not too heavy, just thought it could have been with a little more substance. Maybe a mousse of sorts with some fresh berries.
Over all, it was very nice. Special occasion would be nice.
Why the 4 stars? Every one needs to improve.

Excellent anniversary dinner with my wife. Staff was very polite and helpful. Food was expertly prepared and an absolute treat from start to finish. Scenery was nice but the ambience is what made the ride fun. My only complaint is that my chair wasn't very comfortable.

WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! the ambiance is lovely. The staff are all so very nice and helpful. You can reserve a private table if you wish, sit at a second story table ( with low headroom) or just share a table at regular price. A lovely scenic 2 hour train ride plus dinner with an optional train tour is what we took. It was lovely. We met some very nice passengers as well! ALL OF THE FOOD IS BASICALL MADE FROM SCRATCH IN THE KITCHEN BOARD THE TRAIN! Truly OUTSTANDING!❤

Our car C was very cold. We had to wear our coats during dinner. It was the first day of the 2019 season. Food and service were great.
