Zem Zem Mediterranean Restaurant

I was so eager to fulfill my shawarma craving so I stopped into ZemZem. Needless to say, I still have a shawarma craving. I ordered the chicken pita and the falafel appetizer. The falafel was exactly what falafel should be-flavorful, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It came with tahini And a curry sauce which is evident they’re home made. ????

The shawarma wrap on the other hand was lacking from what I’m used to: stuffed with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, hommus and tahini. I think they’re pickled beets my wrap had? The chicken didn’t have much flavor-I used the tahini from my falafel to “season” my wrap. Next time, I’ll be sure to get a falafel wrap and ask for extra tahini.

Hands down the best dolmades I've EVER had. Better than my Greek grandfather's! The food and environment feel like you're visiting the owner's home and being served their best recipes. Save room for dessert. Not only does she cook the best Mediterranean food in Manchester-really, the best Mediterranean food I've ever had-she is a baking artist. Her baked goods and puddings are magnificent. Almost too lovely to eat. Almost.

Everything was fresh and made to order! The staff was pleasant and very accommodating. Falafel and hummus were very fresh and tasty.

This place is awesome. Great family feel and service but pretty slow turn around even when not too busy. Food is way worth the wait. The shawarma was absolutely fantastic. Must go option for Mediterranean food!
