Weathervane Seafood Restaurant

I havent been to this restaurant in ages. The interior hasn't changed. I got the Admirals platter. The platter was very good but they could put it on a bigger plate as everything was piled on top of each other on the plate and I felt as though if I moved any of the pieces it would all fall. A bigger plate with the haddock on the side instead of on top would have been better. The Admirals platter is a bigger version of the seafood platter and although there was a lot of food the pieces themselves were very small. The scallops were the same small size that I buy frozen at Market Basket and the shrimp pieces were also very small. For almost $27.00 I would of expected the pieces themselves to have been bigger even if it meant a little less food.

Good place for seafood however lots of fried food. You need to ask for baked or broiled

Usually eat there once a month ,the food is always fresh and consistent as is their clam chowder. Ate there yesterday and had one of my favorite pic two combo of haddock and fantail shrimp,with their fabulous onion rings. Decided to get a lobster roll to go ,for a snack later at work and man was o ever disappointed. $18.99 for a tiny amount of lobster maybe 3+ ounces but really. There's a small market in town that makes fresh real lobster rolls twice the size for about $11.
Will be back for great seafood and chowder but never another lobster roll.
