“The Sweet Spot is a real find. Everything is made from scratch, with ingredients you know the names of! The breakfast sandwiches come on a fresh made biscuit, and the sandwiches on home-made bread. The desserts are to die for. The lemon bars are super lemony, the eclairs are unbelievably rich and creamy, and even the donuts taste light and fresh. The bakery used to be known for its pies, and owner/baker Jackie has been improving on them. I’ve only had time to try to one, and I picked my favorite strawberry rhubarb. Both the crust and the filling were great. Jackie says the key lime pie is her best, so I have to try that next. The place itself is bright and cozy. It’s a nice spot to sit and enjoy some coffee and conversation. Chat with the new owners, Jackie and Jim. They are anxious to please. (They are not the grumpy owners mentioned in reviews from last year.) They take into account what their customers say and, as an example, have started baking some gluten free products because customers requested them. Long-time local residents, Jackie is an experienced baker who decided to open her own shop. She uses only fresh ingredients, and she knows what she’s doing with them! Jim is an old hand at breakfast treats and sandwiches. He’s introduced his grandmother’s pork pie (“Big Ma’s” pie). That’s a take-away item and I haven’t tried it yet, but other customers were raving about it. I highly recommend trying this place.”

“This place is the best!! It's clean, the staff is incredible and I love the fact you can see into the kitchen to see who is cooking your food. It gives the place an ole fashion diner feeling. I have on several occasions asked the Chef Lee Collins to make me a special order and he always comes through. I'm a huge fan of the blueberry pancakes and the French toast it's never soggy. My mum loves the strawberry waffles. And the best part is there's always leftovers for a snack after you wake up from the first round of your food coma after leaving. My first time listening/seeing blues performance -- I was captivated with the group. If you are around this weekend, I saw where they are having a Motown theme. Sounds good. “Best donuts in the region, especially their old fashioned donuts (IMHO). Their donuts are never greasy or "heavy" and very flavorful. They make the best apple fritters I've ever had! They brew excellent New England brand coffee. The people are wonderful; always helpful. Have been coming here for years and always satisfied. Have recommended them to many people who had same experience. I miss going in the store since COVID, but SO GLAD they are still offering window service!”
