I'm from Texas and it's hard to hold a candle to Texas BBQ. This place came close, my biggest beef (pun intended) was with their cole slaw. It wasn't fresh and was starting to sour. The shredded pork and sausage was infinitely more delicious. Would give them a second try if I were back in area.
Never disappointed when we visit! Tender pork and brisket, delicious potato salad and homemade fries. We always look forward to visiting in the summer!
We went to get ice cream with over 45 students from our school. They had all the ice cream set and ready to go for us when we got there. The kids love the ice cream and we had a great time! Love The Smoke Shack!
My husband said his chicken tenders were great. I, on the other hand, ordered a pulled pork sandwich. It tasted like over boiled meat...no flavor at all. Even adding gobs of bbq sauce didn't help flavor this sandwich.
I would give this place three out of four stars only because the staff is friendly. The food on the other hand is hit or miss and mediocre at best. I was stopping in for a full rack of ribs sometimes once a week on the way home. They were ok and I was hungry. On one occasion I got my ribs home and could not tear them apart. Cutting with a sharp knife wasn’t easy. They were obviously undercooked. I chalked it up to chance. The next time I stopped in for takeout the meat was fall off the bone as you’d expect. The very next time I got the ribs they were almost raw and had to pitch them. I messaged them and they defended their cooking methods with no apologies or offer to make it right. They only said well I hope you’ll give us a shot in the spring.
Don’t waste your money on their food. I’m out 50 bucks.
