Panera Bread

This is a restaurant that while it provides a decent product, I always have slight issues with their business model. They have a product priced for full service restaurants and the setting is cafeteria style. Basically, I as the client do all the waiter work and busboy work, while paying full service prices. The food is good, and the model profitable for the business, I just dont enjoy the self serve idea while paying full service prices.

Visited here today to get a bowl of cream of chicken and wild rice soup.....not too good as it was congealed and this made it taste funky, plus they failed to give me my french baguette on the side, so quite disappointing, at least for me. I am giving it 3 stars because I also picked up two sandwiches for my friends and they just raved about them. If I decide to return I think I will get a sandwich and pass on the soup....I would not recommend the cream of chicken and wild rice because something has gone wrong with that soup........in a word YUCK!

This Panera, in Concord, NH on Ft Eddy Rd is tucked into a smallish strip mall along with a Verizon Store. You can see it from the road. The parking lot is usually crowded so navigate carefully. There is handicap parking and access. There are also about a half dozen tables outside where you can sit after you've picked up your food at the kitchen counter. The food is all well made. The salads are fresh & the soups are savory. The breads & pastries are too many to list. Really good stuff. Just be ready for a bit of hustle & bustle is all.

My chicken soup was not hot at all. Very luke warm. It tasted good . It would have been very good if it were hot. The counter area was very chaotic with some new system your doing for food. Hopefully that will be smoother as people get used to it. Service was good staff was very polite.
