I have been here many times. I enjoyed it every time we are here. The restaurant is open and has great food.
I visited with my boyfriend and we had an amazing time. Michael, the owner was so kind and welcoming. We loved the flight and the cheese. We also appreciated the opportunity to hear all about how he started his mead explorations. 100% will be back again, we can’t say enough good things about our experience!
Groupon suggested this place to us. We selected a mead flight of nine meads and the Groupon also gave us a mead pairing book. Michael, the owner, actually mailed the book to us because he didn’t have enough copies - how kind. He poured nine meads for us to try and every pour was plentiful. They also used compostable cups which is a delight for me! We were complete mead newbies but we enjoyed almost all the ones we tried. We had a long favorite list - floral symphony, stiletto, entice, Madagascar, red dress, sensual. Breathless had a kick to it so it was our least favorite, almost like fireball whiskey. But it would be a good option to those who enjoy such flavors.
Also, what a gorgeous space they have. We were allowed to spend an entire rainy afternoon sipping mead, reading some books, playing games, meeting Barley the dog, and enjoying the gorgeous Fall views. Michael also gave us a tour of the pizza restaurant scheduled to open very soon.
This is hands down one of my favorite places now. Very short trip from Mass/Boston, can also be a wonderful day trip. However, we might choose to stay here next time because they’re offering Airbnbs too. To whoever reading, I hope you visit too!
Never had mead? Order a custom designed flight of samples that will orient you to the delicious, subtle flavors. My favorites were Dhu Tell and Wicked. Paired with a smoked cheddar and aged Gouda— perfection. Enjoyed a Friday night with music by talented Ryan Williams.
Very excited to review this establishment! While I have discovered that Mead is not my favorite libation, I had to try it, and life is all about the journey! What I am most excited about is the friendliness of the staff, the ambience of the barn/tasting room, and the fantastic location. Set upon a hill, it afforded us the breeze, (which was gale winds this evening), the view of the hills, and the beautiful sunset. Top that off with a food truck, entertainment on the weekends, and they participate in Harvest Hosts; a program that hosts overnight stays for RVers. And yes, they serve beer, too. Kudos to you all. I wish continued success!
We ended up staying here through Air BnB for an event, which was great. But the meadery made the stay very memorable and made for a great home base before and after traipsing around. They had live music each night we were there, board games and outdoor games to just relax and have fun while sipping on something. There are also picnic tables outside overlooking a smaller mountain range. The mead is pricey, but mead typically is. They also have beers on tap which were all pretty good as well. Highly recommend, owner is open and friendly as well! Oh, also, if you have a camper, little pop up or camp in someway, you are allowed to do this there if you are a patron. Very laid back easy going atmosphere ❤️☺️
