Food was absolutely amazing. My family loved it and the service was excellent. Cant wait to go again.
Went there for mother's day meal. Despite the appearance of the outside and the inside. The food was actually good which I am not surprised about. Typically restaurants like this have better food than a high priced "classy" places. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Prices do reflect what a typical seafood place would be. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. I like the fact that they offer different size options on the meals. We will be back again. Sorry no pictures I was just to hungry and was not thinking.
I we enjoyed revisiting Lobster Claw, we used to live in town and visited at least monthly.
My husband & I shared a Fisherman's platter, clams exceptional, scallops yum...onion rings, fries, Cole slaw & tarter sauce same delicious recipe we recall but the one thing we both were disappointed in was the fish, we used to get a whole filet on top and now your down to 4 very small nuggets and that was with giving up a smelt to get extra haddock.
Will we be back, of course, but next time I'm coming in for chicken tenders!
So do not judge this restaurant from its appearance outside or in. It does need a lot of upgrading and it could be a bit cleaner but the food here is fantastic. The seafood is always fresh and cooked to perfection. I have gone here many times and not a single bad meal. The food prices a very reasonable. In my opinion it is the best seafood in Derry. Everytime I have been here it is never crowded. I think people my judge the appearance of the place and drive by. If your in the area please give the Lobster Claw a try. You will not be disappointed I promise.
I've only had their lobster roll each time I go to Lobster Claw II. It is always good. A lot of lobster meat and just the right amount of mayo, which I believe they modify somehow, as I'm not usually a fan of mayo. The roll is toasted to perfection. Very good.
