Authentic Jamiacan food in low frills setting. So, so good. Hidden jem at Hampton Beach.

Warning: this is legit Jamaican food. Just because it is at the beach, it won't let you down!

With that said, I have eaten here several times, but this time I had the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. If you don't know jerk, it is spicy. The fill Cole slaw is perfect to neutralize the heat, so don't be think of changing the side! Plantains were perfectly cooked as well.

Very difficult to find good food at Hampton, since everything is a fried and frozen mess. It was hard to believe that there was a Jamaican food place here on the strip and I thought it would be dulled down for the average consumer, but boy is it very good. It has great Jamaican recipes, like curried goat and oxtails. My recommendation would be the curried goat with the curried vegetable stew. It was unbelievable to eat something that wasn't bland and very bold, flavorful and spicy at Hampton Beach. Great job!
