Coconut Shrimp Rock!
Small and it gets crowded. Since the accessible seating is limited to the bar area the only we always use the takeout window and eat at the picnic tables. Food is excellent and the staff is friendly.
I'd give it 5 stars if they provided more wheelchair accessible seating.
Petey's is very popular in the summertime and space is limited so come early. Their seafood is delicious and prices are quite reasonable. Downstairs is quaint New England seafood dining. Upstairs on the deck has a different (open air, spacious, more of a party) vibe. Good selection of cocktails and draft beers. Haddock basket is most popular item on menu. Scallops, shrimp and lobster are all excellent.
Still a very reliable option for really fresh seafood prepared deliciously. Prices are actually on the low side for the area, but that's in keeping with the ultra informal atmosphere. Service is usually quick but basic. Don't expect frills or a lot of attention. Chowders are excellent except for the lobster bisque. Kind of bland with fake color. Fried foods have a very nice light batter.
We went with a group of friends while out on the bikes. Beautiful ride, sat on the deck. The stair railings are wobbly at best, so be careful on your way up and make sure you pee first cause the bathrooms are downstairs. They can't/won't split checks. I get it I guess? We were there as soon as the doors opened on Sunday with a fairly hefty crowd. They were out of a lot of different beers. Someone had to go downstairs for tea since no one brewed one for upstairs. They almost seemed unprepared? Food was pretty great. Not the biggest portions I've seen around. Overall not a SUPER first impression, but we might be back.
