The Ice House

Oh they have some good ice cream!!! This place is cash only. They have some dairy free options! Their food is good as well! I have never seated inside, so don't know what inside sitting arrangement is like, but outside there is small parking area and a few tables to sit at. There are beaches nearby, So we just take ice cream, something to munch on and go to beach! Helpful staff!!

Ice cream was delicious, the restaurant was fine. Service was terribly slow, but not sure why. The staff were friendly and prompt, but the food took forever. Food was fine. The fish tacos we're just the fried haddock off the fisherman's platter wrapped in a tortilla. The kids Mac was overpriced. Just a serving of Kraft Mac w/o any sides for 4$. Fried chicken sandwich was basically tenders on a hamburger roll. Stick to the ice cream.

Just stopped in for ice cream on the way home. Cash only, line moved quick and a good selection of hard packed ice cream. Maine Black bear was very good. There is a full restaurant attached.

If you are out and about on Newcastle this is a great place for a bite or ice cream. We had been enjoying Fort Stark, got peckish and enjoyed our seafood. Our waitress was friendly but had a lot going on. Cash only with an ATM inside. Picnic tables in back overlooking the driving range.

This place was great. I had a salmon burger that had a really tasty lemon pepper mayonnaise sauce and fresh lettuce and tomato. I also had some really good sweet potato fries. Prices are good for what you get and for it being located in Rye. Rye is upscale, so the prices here can be high. After dinner, they have a variety of ice cream treats. In fact, the Ice House is apparently known for being an ice cream place. By the way if you are gluten free, I did notice that they did have some options on the dinner menu. Check them out online first though. My friend I was with was actually able to order a bun for his burger???? Seriously though, nice place. Great dinner. Ice cream outside. Can't beat it.
