Mei Hoo

Most important to me about Chinese food is whether it is cooked to order @ lunch!!!! And Mei Hoo is!!!!! It was hot and delicious as always. The 1 time I did have a problem with my order he made good on it immediately!!! I love it here.

As you can see from the other reviews it seems people either give it 4 or 5 stars or 1 star, I believe I can provide some insight into why. My family has been ordering from Mei Hoo's for as long as I can remember, and in that time it has changed hands (to the owner's son or family member) at least once. Around the time of these transfers they did have a bad period but has since found their form again. I will agree their customer service isn't great and when you call in for an order they go by phone number. At times it may seem they are being rude but I honestly don't think that is ever their intention and its more of a cultural thing or something of the sort. They take your order, and provide you food, straight to business. Everyone that I have encountered that works there (except for delivery people) are not native English speakers and have strong accents, but I can't fault them for that, so be patient if you have a hard time understanding them or if they have a hard time understanding you. The delivery times can differ a decent amount depending on how busy it is but usually its around 30-45 minutes, can be over an hour if they are VERY busy. Their food I'd say is great 95% of the time, with it maybe being slightly off the other 5% but still good IMO. If you want to eat in restaurant, their dining area isn't anything special but its good and clean. Whenever they mess up an order or forgot something (which is rare) they are good about correcting it. Like any other business they have some flaws but I think they provide a quality service and would never consider changing my usual Chinese take out restaurant to any other.

Been here on a few occasions and sometime the guy behind the counter can be moodie , but the food was always excellent , the price is about average compared to other restaurants . But I'm human and will go again everyone has their days ..

Best time are week ends. Very busy. I like week days for lunch. Very little people, but the food is GREAT AT ANY TIME
