The Common Man

If we were living in Boston this would be our favorite go to place. It will be for our visits. Three of four of us are vegan and we all tried different dishes and shared. All loved them. Very well prepared and very flavorful. Dessert was also quite nice but one of the cupcakes was slightly overcooked. Still, all in all, a wonderful experience that we hope to repeat.

We visited for Sunday brunch.
Waitress STARTED quite attentive, perhaps a little distracted. We finished eating and waiting for check. She was no where to be found. We were in no rush so we waited. I already had my card waiting to give to her - about 10 minutes - but she put the bill on table and walked away. She came back about 15 minutes later. We waited a few more minutes before we got up to ask around to to just sign the credit card receipt and leave. To be fair, she seemed to be very busy. To make matters go from not bad to aggravating is that the manager on duty and other wait staff were standing around chatting. Manager said he had no idea we were waiting and apologized and said they had a rough day.

At other Common Man locations, manager would come around and check on tables to see how they're doing and if they're enjoying themselves. I shouldn't have to feel sorry when I have to listen to their excuses.

We were invited to a private party and the food and service was amazing. The restaurant has great drinks and is very accommodating. I will be back.

Very much a pub atmosphere. The food was good, not great. The band/performer on this particular night didn't show up. Not a bad place, but not the must see place either. I will probably go back. A great beer selection.
