I have had take-out from them several times.
The good: delicious food that is ready when they say it will be. I had been getting the pad thai which is great, but their curry rice/pineapple rice is on a different level. Good range of meat/meat substitutes or vegetable options to go with their dishes.
The bad: their spice range is not consistent, I don't recommend going hotter if the first time you went it wasn't hot enough because it varies day to day. Not enough of an issue for me to dock them any stars though.
Try them, you won't regret it.
Their noodle dishes are excellent. Pad Thai and pad see ew are done very well. The spring rolls are serviceable, but not great. If you're looking for curry, you'll have better luck elsewhere; I found them to be watery and unflavorful, with the only thing you could taste was the heat from the spices and not actual flavor. (I'll be trying it again soon, as I had it when they first opened and hopefully things improved)
The atmosphere could be decent, apart from the deafening door buzzer that goes off every time someone comes in or goes out (seriously, fix this, there's no reason for it)
The service has been pretty good, the orders are accurate and staff are polite.
I'll certainly be going back, but there are better options within 20 minutes for curry and spring rolls.
This was my first time having Siam and I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to try it. Ordered takeout and I am so excited there is a new Thai spot in town! The spring rolls, drunken noodle, and pad Thai were amazing.
Great new addition to the local Barrington take out scene. Not a destination for dining-in but it was very fast, cheerful service with decent prices and generous portions. Lots of folks seem to have discovered it already. It’s not the best Thai ever, and there were a lot of onions on the two combos we ordered (drunken noodles and (not) spicy) pork, but it was fine.
Take out food was very good, we got pineapple fried rice with chicken, a salad with chicken, crab rangoon, and a main dish. All were good portion size, very tasty. The Crab Rangoon was the best I have ever had, the pineapple chicken fried rice was also a stand out. Price was comparable. Will definitely go back!
Also, the on line ordering process was very easy!
