I was recommended by a friend to go to Uncle Dewey's. Even with new ownership the food is outstanding! The ribs were competition perfect as well as the brisket. Great flavors with all his food including the sides. I am definitely going back asap. Well worth the drive.

I've been a fan of Deweys for many years, once hiring him to host a BBQ for the company I worked for. I was a little taken aback when I went by there this past weekend and found the place under new ownership. I was hanging for BBQ, having driven down to the shore from Philadelphia, so I took a chance and turned into the parking lot right off Route 40 In Mizpah. I can tell you now, No Worries, the tradition of great BBQ food carries on. This was our first out of the house dining experience since the Covid-19 lock down started and it couldn't have gone better. The ribs were great, the corn cooked just right and the cole slaw was about the best I've ever eaten. We ordered a six piece chicken wing side. OMG, these are not your usual puny pub style chicken wings, these looked like they came off a Pterodactyl. They were huge. There is a big outdoor eating area, with picnic tables under a great screen enclosure so you can easily practice social distancing while getting a home cooked style dinner. The girls behind the register seemed to have a little trouble with getting the order put in, but they were cheerful and helpful and eventually it got in and done right. Probably beginning of the season nerves. Everyone was really nice. We met Rick while we were eating and he was super interested in our dining experience, a great sign an owner is invested in its success. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed, and you will be helping maintain a great South Jersey BBQ tradition.
