“Friends took us here for dinner when we first moved to NJ. My family really enjoyed it. It's like when Italians recommend an Italian restaurant, the food has to be authentic and good. I especially like the pork dishes like crispy pata (deep fried pig feet) and lechon. I also like their kare kare (ox tail in a peanut sauce). I don't leave before I have halo halo for dessert. Not a big place and always seems to be busy (people come in to pick up food to go).”

“Local Latin restaurant. Seems to attract some people from the area as well as a lot of the workers at lunch time. Big lunch portions of chicken rice and beans. A bit pricey at $10 for lunch everyday but the portion sizes are big. There is a lot of competition on Washington Ave for Latin food and this place seems to be holding it's own. Staff not so friendly to outsiders. Parking is tough.”

The only issue is time. The service is slow. If they tell you 20 minutes it's really 35. If you order food for a party, figure about 40 minutes of delay.”

“This place is legendary. A hidden gem of Bergen county, this place has possibly the best halal fried chicken in the state. Service is nice and quick, the staff is very accomadating, and the atmosphere is quite relaxing. “Ordered delivery from here tonight. They’re always quick and consistent. We got the chicken mama Mia and penne vodka on the side. The chicken mama Mia is a combination of chicken and eggplant. Delish. We also got a grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad. The penne is not the most flavorful I’ve ever had but it wasn’t bad. The rest of the food was good. Both very sweet ladies earning a honest living doing what they love. My total was 97.00 i had to get everything lol. But it was worth it . Everything was tasty. “Solid mini pizza establishment inside a market. I had the margherita pizza and it was flawless. The perfect amount of sauce, had a good amount of fresh motzerlla and the dough was not too thin or too thick. My only criticism is having to go to the front of the store and wait in line with people buying groceries. I can see it being problematic going at peak times with lots of people checking out and would cause for ones food to get cold.”

There are 3-5 Chinese food places that are closer, but this one is worth the extra few minutes. The rest of the menu is just as good or better than the others in the area. It's slightly harder to find only because it's set some way from the road, though you'll see the sign. At times, the parking lot can get full.”

“The sushi has recently gotten much better. They have a woman now who makes the sushi. Staff has gotten friendlier too, especially compared to 2 years ago. I think the food quality is pretty good. Lots of green veggies and fresh fruit. Restaurant is good for families who don't have time to wait. Very convenient for us. I think they pay attention to food safety. We've been going for years and never got sick once.”
