Love the rotating menu. It allows me to try different things every time I visit. The owner takes time to discuss and educate me on each dish and even gives me little taste samples. Mango lassi is nice and thick. Definitely a nice place to go if you like flavorful vegetarian food.
He told me this restaurant is very new, so I'm hoping for a proper takeout menu soon!
Delicious, fresh, and healthy vegetarian meal. The owner was kind and described each dish for me before ordering.
Excellent food. Authentic flavors and feels like home cooking. A bit mild if expecting Indian hot, more like feel good food. Service also matched food, welcoming and calm. Much of India is challenging -- dry, too wet, desert, enormous mountains, jungles etc. -- but Kerala is easy, smart and friendly. Food from Kerala.
The first thing that hit me was the incredibly rich aroma of spices and herbs. The owner, "Ven" is super friendly and cares alot about the service & quality he provides. He invested a good amount of time explaining the dishes, the history of South India, and the different cuisine he offers. He allowed me tastings/samples of the dishes I wanted to buy prior to making a decision.
Things I love: great variety of Vegetarian options that tasted better than most meat platters I have had. The intimate experience of learning about the history and culture of the food and what Ven hopes to bring to the community. Great prices. 8 bucks for my platter of lemon 🍋rice and coconut 🥥milk chickpeas.
I highly recommend this place. Give them a try. They opened during the pandemic so things are a little slow to kick off, but it's definitely worth visiting and supporting so that it remains a staple of good food in town!
