So kong dong Tofu House Fairview - 소공동 순두부 패얼뷰

The food is delicious, the place is spacious and comfortable and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend it.

This place was recently converted from Lighthouse BBQ and became So Kong Dong Tofu House. Unfortunately its sign hadn't been changed when we visited there, and we had hard time to find it driving on the busy Broad Ave. When we got there, there was no other guests on a Friday dinner hour. That made us questioned whether it was a wise decision to try the restaurant. Very soon the own calmed our nerve with warm and friendly talk and explanation of its menu. We had been to the original So Kong Dong on Fort Lee Main St. many times. But the Fairview one expanded the menu to include many other items such as BBQ and sea food. We ordered our usual tofu soups just for comparison to it's original restaurant. They tasted quite good, but I feel the original So Kong Dong still has the edge. While we were waiting for our meals, the owner chatted with us and offered a dish of fried rice cake sticks. It was very delicious when hot. I must say we had a pleasant time having dinner there. We told a friend about it, and next day they went for the BBQ sampler and enjoyed it very much.
