Lido Restaurant

The only thing on that menu I would eat would be the thin crust pizza. Which they are very well know for a very very ling time. I have insider information that the restaurant is very nasty filthy dirty. There is mouse droppings and cockroaches all over thats why they keep it dark. There for I would NEVER NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!$

My husband brought me early in our relationship. I couldn't be happier that he did. He's been coming since he was a kid growing up in Hackensack. I know we'll be bringing our baby for years to come.

Chicken parm for me and sliced steak for him with a couple of cocktails perfect casual night out. Love this place.

Dining area is old and in need of renovation. There is talk that that may be happening in the near future. That being said, this restaurant has a very limited menu and a very loyal customer base. Once customers are seated, they are always greeted with a warm smile and asked the same question, "Do you need a menu?" This is because almost everyone comes to the Lido for one of their two signature dishes, thin crust pizza or sliced steak sandwich. Both are excellent and worth trying. Might want to call before you go due to the continued talk of closing for renovations.

It hasn't changed a bit from when I was a kid. The waitresses are really friendly and helpful. If you like Italian food, you have to eat here!!! Awesome food. No one comes close to their pizza. Prices are very reasonable. I always take a pie home with me. Good variety of foods

Retro decor, with all vinyl quilted booth seating, appears to be original circa 1960. Very dimly lit and therefore somewhat cozy. Pizza is great thin crust style. Sliced steak sandwich is their specialty although tonight I had the 7oz strip steak and it was good but not great. I thought the Manhattan clan chowder to be just okay with hardly any clams. I liked their Italian house salad dressing.
Food came out quick but I had to remind the waitress for little things like sugar and then for steak sauce, which she never did deliver.
In balance though it was a tasty meal. Bathrooms are still 1960 and need an upgrade. Even a wall mounted pay phone in the vestibule. When have you last seen one of those. Note: Cash only. Very little street parking.
