I love to visit Japanese restaurant. Happy to found here in Leonia NJ. Neat and comfy here. Around Lunch time here is very busy. Food was delicious!
I took my college-age son to lunch at Nakahara Japanese Restaurant in early January, and the place was packed. We got a table for two opposite the opening the staff used to pick up dishes from Mr. Nakahara, the sushi chef, and to retrieve cooked dishes from the kitchen. Still, despite the hubbub, my Chirashi was one of the most beautiful displays of raw and cooked seafood, vegetables and other ingredients I've ever seen, and it was as delicious and melt-in-the-mouth as it looked ($18). My son's Sushi Lunch included a California Roll, and he loved it ($15). The crowd in the small restaurant contrasted to my first visit in November 2016, when only two other tables were filled, and Mr. Nakahara was an employee who planned to buy and take over the place from the Korean owners. Next, I might try Nakahara Japanese Restaurant for one of the omakase dinners, which start at $50.
Fresh and good quality sashimi served in good temperatures and surprisingly their soy sauce are still chill when we get to our seat. Must call for reservations before you go due to the place is always packed during the peak hours. If you like soup dishes, must try their Oden... so authentic and delicious.
Very fresh, nice looking and tasty food. Reasonable price. Kind to customers. It is nice to have one in town. YK
Excellent. Like I was trasported to Japan. Food prepared as Japanese people eat it, and it was all delicious. BYOB, and they'll take care of everything else.
