I've always believed that the best steak houses could only be found in NYC but am pleasantly surprised that Roots Ridgewood was just as good if not better than the places across the river. Across the board, steak, wine, and desserts, this place is fantastic! Looking forward to many more nights here.

Roots is one of my favorites to frequent in the area. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, the food is always consistent, and service is always on point. If you’re a fan of seafood I highly recommend ordering some while you’re here. I always order the clams on a half shell, they always fresh and I’m never disappointed. My go to cut on the menu is the 16 oz prime NY strip steak ordered rare, never had any issues always cooked to perfection. As far as sides go I usually grab the onion ring tower which is presented nicely and also very tasty. The grilled asparagus are a must along with the lobster mac and cheese. So if you’re looking for a new spot to grab a drink, a great steak dinner, or a place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary I suggest you give Roots a chance to win you over.

Everything here is fantastic. Drinks are extremely strong and the food is fantastic. The service is a perfect 10.

Once thing I love about this place is that it is very dim when your inside. It gives that night life vibe at anytime of day.
