A friend recommended to come here for brunch and I was excited to try it. We were seated right away. The decor is casual/rustic, although not cozy, with exposed brick wall and wood ceiling beams, but I noticed the host stand looked very decrepit. I browsed the menu online before arriving and decided to get the chicken salad sandwich, my friend ordered the French toast. While we waited for our food we sipped on our Riesling and nibbled on the sweet popcorn that was brought to the table. The French toast was yummy, but I was disappointed with my chicken salad sandwich. It was on the dry side with too much onion, and an overabundance of lettuce that got in the way. Wasn't crazy about the hard crust of their bread which I had to be careful biting into as not to scrape the roof of my mouth. Thank goodness the fries were good. The service was ok, although I didn't appreciate him reaching across my plate to take a dish without saying excuse me. Overall just an OK dining experience.

Rarely do you walk into a place and say, “Wow! Did that really happen?” White Maple Café made me feel that way.

First off, the staff was outstandingly friendly. That enhanced the ambience. But, the food blew our minds.

Pictured are the Braised Short Rib Sliders. If they are on the menu (they’re a recent addition) when you come, then you must eat them. They are so tender and the flavors involved just lead to a simple, “Wow!”

The second picture is the Spicy Seafood Red Curry. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the spiciness is evident, but not overpowering. Again, you just say, “Wow!”

Not pictured because my wife and I couldn’t refrain from eating it fast enough was the Panko-crusted Sockeye Salmon. The Dijon mustard sauce amplifies this dish to a whole new level.

We received a recommendation to visit White Maple Café and that recommendation was well-founded. You must try this place! You’ll say, “Wow! Did that really happen?” Food this good is no fantasy. It’s a stroke of culinary genius
