The food is good but the manager with the ponytail always seems to be angry just tired of that with all the competition shocked that this is still tolerated. If you come in and its empty he growls that you dont have a reservation. Sorry didnt know that on a Monday that was so critical but the food is good servers are attentive if you can avoid the manager but you cant so i usally skip the hassle
Best Kosher experience of American 'Big Food'. As an Englishman, I was in shock
Get junior combo platter, and steak poppers. See pictures below
Dougies is a classic. The good: The food is always consistent, you know what you are going to get. The portions are generous. The not as good: I have yet to have a meal at any of their branches I would describe as magnificent. Adequate, yes. Great, no. Which leads into the bad: Dougies is very expensive for what it is. It is essentially a high-end fast food kosher place. Sort of a burgers/chops/chicken/sandwiches joint with waiter service charging fine dining prices. I always feel a little ripped off after a meal. I am paying a premium for OK food. I would rather pay less for essentially the same quality and portions. Or the same price for something special. It just isn't.
The hamburger, coleslaw, and drink were perfect. Zvi was a good host. Great place to eat and meet friends.
Super happy with Dougies BBQ! Not only is the food good the customer service is great! Also the waiters/hostess/chef are excellent at servicing a party with food allergies. They are really careful! This is one of the only establishments I feel comfortable eating at! Highly recommend!
