Why aren't we yelling from the rooftops about this place!?

These are THE BEST EMPANADAS I HAVE EVER HAD! (Look at my profile - I know what I'm talking about.)

The empanada dough is exceptional. The frying was perfect, wonderfully crispy, but also, it has this wonderfully chewy bite, almost like a great pizza crust. We chose the pulled chicken. It was tender and floral with spices. I could smell the cumin. The balance was unreal. If there was a salsa Verde (or Pico) to add some citrus.... oh man...

I also loved the Camarones a La Mexicana. This is a spicy shrimp dish. It was (almost) stewed pepper onions and (I'm guessing) seranos. The heat is balanced but present. The shrimp, perfectly cooked. I piled all of it onto a tortilla. Again, had there been a cooling agent to top it with... it would be untouchable.

The chicken soup is outstanding. It's almost a stew because it's so generously thick with potatoes, chicken, celery, and onions. Came with rice to bulk it up!

A few notes: the "crunchy" taco is a flauta, piled high with "salad" and crema. They were good. The salad adds the acid, the crema was bountiful.

My only hang-up was the salsa and chips. The chips are homemade, awesome! But the salsa ... it was a total miss for me. It reads sweet - and then sour and finally smoky from Chipotles. I didn't like it all. It was like ketchup.

    Oh!!! AND BREAKFAST ALL DAY!

Otherwise- go here. Get full. This is like going to your families house to get stuffed with balanced, old-school, much repeated, tried, and true recipes.

Had family move to Medford recently so we’ve been trying out places. This place is a hidden GEM in Medford! We stopped in for lunch and we will definitely be back. The food was phenomenal. We got the carne family nachos, steak enchiladas, and chicken empanadas!! Everything blew us away. So much flavor, simple and to the point. They hand make their tortillas! You have to check this place out. The owner was so sweet and the service was great!! It’s hidden in a little shopping mall, so it’s very easy to miss!

I’ve been going here quite sometime for breakfast and lunch. I’ve always enjoyed the food the service and quality. It is a very clean environment and the atmosphere is decorated very nicely. One of the waiters that work there named Jaffeth has always made my experience nice. I believe he is a nice asset to the restaurant. Food that I recommend is the super burritos which I believe are better than chipotle for the simple fact that’s it’s made fresh and it’s authentic. Another dish I would recommend is Baleadas which is basically a breakfast burrito. I still yet have to try everything else. But from the recent dishes I had I know it’s going to be good. Deserts are a hit or miss sometimes but I would definitely try their cheesecake. The price for the food is very reasonable for the portions they provide. Overall it is a very nice restaurant to eat at and it never disappoints me.

Dec 2023 still 5 stars! nicely decorated for Christmas as well, try this local, family owned and operated treasure

    Quaint, authentic, family restaurant.

Family Nachos had fresh ingredients and not globs of processed cheese whiz.

    Try the iced Horchata, delicious

    Simple menu, freshly prepared.
You just find yourself eating more than you should here.

Medford has so many family friendly restaurants, I hope this one stays around awhile.

They have breakfast to dinner options, are open at 7 and close at 9pm.

Came for dinner with my girlfriend. I had the enchiladas, she had the shrimp burrito. The restuarunt is cozy, quiet, and tucked away. Definitely a hidden gem in the area. The staff is super friendly and the food was not only affordable, but delicious as well! My order came with authentic rice and beans, and the salsas they give are to die for. Definitely will be back!
