Nu Soul Cafe

I have to rate Nu Soul five stars. I still need to taste more of the menu, but what I have had was cooked to perfection. I've had the fried chicken and the beef ribs as entrees. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and sauced perfectly - fantastic flavor! The fried chicken was juicy and tender with a crisp coating. Both the ribs and the chicken were enough for two on one plate. I've tasted the collard greens, rice and peas, steamed cabbage, and mac & cheese. All have been extraordinary.
The interior is the plain and casual seating you might expect at your local soul food spot, but somehow Nu Soul is more than what meets the eye.
What I feel I like most about this place is the service. The kindness, humor and positivity of the proprietor and staff is enough to make me come here all by itself. This place has been an experience far beyond my expectations. I can't help but wish Nu Soul is recognized for its offerings. Give it a try and find out for yourself.

This was my 3rd time eating here and it was Amazing!!! Had the ox tails pork ribs Mac n cheese yams collard greens everything was so good best yams ive had yet!!! Best if you call your order in first definitely would eat here again and its close to home plenty of parking

THE BEST SOUL FOOD I HAD IN A LONG TIME!!!! MY MOM IS IN DEBORAH HOSPITAL, AND AFTER ABOUT 6 HOURS WE STARTED GOOGLING FOOD PLACES IN THE AREA AND WE CAME UPON THIS PLACE. I HAD THE CATFISH, MAC AND CHEESE AND CABBAGE MY BROTHRER HAD THE FRIED CHICKEN, YAMS AND MAC AND CHEESE. WHEN I TELL YOU THIS FOOD WAS AMAZING IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!TODAY BEFORE WE WENT IN THE HOSPITAL WE WENT BACK. I GOT THE JERK CHICKEN MAC AND CHEESE , CABBAGE AND TURKEY WINGS..THOSE TURKEY WINGS ARE THE BEST!!!! I EVER HAD THEY WERE SO DELICIOUS I AM STILL LICKING MY FINGERS...THE CORNBREAD IS AMAZING SO SWEET AND MOIST OMG...EVEN WHEN MY MOM LEAVES THE HOSPITAL THIS PLACE WOULD BE WORTH THE 40 MINUTE DRIVE FOR THE FOOD. IF YIUR IN THE AREA PLEASE PLEASE TRY THIS PLACE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED I PROMISE

Great food! I was at Deborah Hospital for two days visiting family. The cafeteria food was not the best so I had to venture outside the hospital. I found Nu Soul Cafe online and I’m glad I did! I ordered shrimp and grits but I couldn’t resist the wings as they were sitting there, freshly done. I tried a few while I waited for my food and they were amazing! The shrimp and grits was also a crowd pleaser and plenty for the cost of the meal. I highly recommend this place if your in the area looking for a great meal.
